2026-2027 Course Registration Update

Course Request Forms – All 6^th and 7^th grade students should have received a copy of their course requests to bring home for parent review this week. Please review your student’s requests and email your student’s counselor (Ms. Shupe -  colemas@gcsnc.com - or Ms. Hightower - HightoD@gcsnc.com) should you have any questions or concerns. The district deadline for providing feedback is Monday, April 20^th. Any requests after the deadline will be reviewed during the beginning of the year schedule change request process. Rising 6^th grade students not attending Lincoln next year will not receive a copy of their course requests. Student’s upcoming middle school counselors have access to student’s enrollments for next year and will be the contact for receiving the course request form. Rising 9^th grade students will not receive a copy of their course requests. Should you wish to review your students’ requests, please contact their high school counselor. If you need assistance contacting your student’s upcoming school, feel free to contact your counselor to help facilitate.

Second Chance Lottery - If you missed the original Choice Schools application window or are still on a wait list, the Second Chance Choice Lottery is now open for families interested in applying to high schools with available seats for the 2026-2027 school year. Offers will be sent each Friday, and families will have until the following Friday to accept. Offers will continue to go out on a rolling basis until all seats are filled.
